Sustainability tracks
We like to be a few pedal lengths ahead and want to set a clear example with our environmental protection measures. When we receive an award for this, we are of course delighted. But the biggest incentive is the beautiful nature right on our doorstep.
The #itdoesn't hurt initiative is a non-profit association with the aim of keeping nature and the mountains clean. If we stumble across rubbish along the way, we pick it up and take it with us - wherever and whenever we go. Love nature. Save nature.
In 2014, we were the first hotel in Flachau to be awarded the Austrian Ecolabel.
Thinking sustainably and acting ecologically, even before the major conversion in 2024.
Our certificates
As a Climate Alliance company, we are committed to implementing specific climate protection measures within the company. For example, we have installed regional materials, LED lighting, energy-efficient windows and a heat-insulating façade.
The Austrian Ecolabel is only awarded to hotels that meet numerous other requirements in addition to comprehensive environmental criteria. From the use of regional food to the responsible use of valuable resources such as water. Compliance with the environmental guidelines is checked every four years by an independent expert.
The European Ecolabel is an international quality label used to identify consumer products and services. It was introduced by EC Regulation 1980/2000/EC and is also known as the Euro Flower.
Awarding:
The criteria are submitted to the Member States and the European Commission. Random checks are carried out on certified products by independent inspectors and the Association for Consumer Information.
