Our focus

has focused on mountain biking since the hotel was bought in 1996 when it was still the Tauernhof. The hotel was an absolute pioneer in the hiking and skiing region. The Tauernhof quickly developed into a popular location for families and sports enthusiasts who appreciate our blend of honest hospitality and professionalism.

The dream

Growing the hotel and designing it in such a way that it suits us and our guests even better is nothing new. In recent years, initial ideas have finally turned into real plans. The large construction site from March to November 2024 was the visible sign, the beginning of our new start, in which we changed many things, but also simply left some things as they are. Because it's good. On December 6, we were able to move into our new Dips & Drops together with our guests with perfect timing and have felt right at home from the very first second.

The architecture is open, bright and unconventional.

The result is a place that combines cool design with a family atmosphere and brings people together with their passion for mountain biking and skiing. Not a traditional hotel with strict procedures, but a casual hub to arrive, get going and relax. Eat and drink well. Uncomplicated, contemporary, without fixed timing. Because everyone has their own habits, preferences and diets. And every day is different. Sometimes a veggie bowl, sometimes a fine 4-course meal. Whatever you fancy.

The name

was born in the middle of the creative process. Thinking about how our guests - together with our guides - are out and about on their bikes and skis and later philosophizing at the bar. About their technique, their progress, their fun, their dips and drops.
